Haunted Destination: Old Slocum House

Footsteps in the hallways and items spontaneously falling from shelves have caused many to believe that the house’s original owners still reside here. Custom-built in the 1870s by Charles and Laura Slocum, the house has several bedrooms to accommodate a large family, but the couple never had children. When the Slocum House was used as a community theater, Laura's ghost often appeared to watch children perform. Her husband Charles was much less welcoming -- he frequently annoyed and unnerved theater-goers in the building that was once his home. To learn more about the haunted history of the Slocum House, tune in to the Final Curtain Call episode of The Dead Files.
