Stranger Things Fans: You Can Visit the Upside Down This Halloween
Visit the freaky Stranger Things maze at Universal Studios' annual Halloween Horror Nights, if you dare.
If you're (im)patiently waiting for the season three release of Stranger Things (like me!), then add Universal Studios' Upside Down World to your fall must-visit list. The theme park partnered with Netflix to create a terrifying Stranger Things maze for its annual Halloween Horror Nights. The seasonal attraction features elements from the Upside Down, the Byers' house and Hawkins National Laboratory with special appearances by the predatory Demogorgon. (If I'm speaking gibberish to you, then you need to binge-watch ASAP.) If you muster up the courage, visit the attraction now through November 3.
To get guests even more excited about the theme park's brand-new Stranger Things attraction, Hilton Orlando is concocting delectable themed treats. Ensuring the fun continues past the park, guests can sip on warm waffle cocktails, dark and stormy spirits and dive into yummy upside-down cakes inspired by the show.
Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Alisa Farov / Hilton Orlando
A nostalgic ode to Stranger Things' '80s setting, the hotel is serving up the retro pastry as a pleasant contrast to the terrifying Upside Down World.
Bourbon Waffle Smash
Hilton Orlando
Inspired by Eleven's frozen waffle fixation, guests can sip on the sweet Bourbon Waffle Smash. Topped with a mini waffle, the cocktail combines pure maple syrup, maple bourbon and fresh juices.
Smoke and Mirrors
Hilton Orlando
Recreating the Upside Down's alternate dimension, Hilton Orlando conjured up the Smoke and Mirrors cocktail. The concoction features rum, brandied cherry, simple syrup, bitters and orange flavors.
