Maybe the most interesting magazine you'll ever read.

Why we like it -- Flipboard takes all of the recommended links from your Facebook and Twitter contacts, and displays them in a magazine-style format (along with your friends' tweets, photos and status updates).

For travelers, it's a great way to keep up to date on your friends and their favorite stories. But you can also use it to plan future trips. Just plug in the "FlipTrip" feature -- or the updates from National Geographic or Lonely Planet, among others -- and the iPad is suddenly a travel magazine.

Improvements we'd like to see -- The list of travel-related publications is strong but shallow. Flipboard could do better.
