Beat the Heat: Best Miami Hotel Pools

Take a dip in Oyster.com's picks for the best Miami hotel pools.

With record heat waves spreading across most of the US, Oyster.com and Travel Channel have just the places to help you cool off in style. From the Delano to the Ritz-Carlton South Beach, check out Miami's swankiest hotel pools, perfect stopoff points during your next luxury vacation. Cabana boy not included.

Delano calls its pool a "water salon" and features live DJs, tasty food, relaxing cabanas and music playing underwater -- at least during the day, before the hordes of nonguests come to party. The pool was designed by renowned French designer Philippe Stark.
The Setai offers 3 pools, each at a different temperature (75, 85 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit). The pools are surrounded by what may be the most beautifully manicured grounds in all of South Beach.
The Marriott Doral Golf Resort has a massive Blue Lagoon water park complete with 125-ft Blue Monster Slide. Two lagoon-like pools connect by a waterway that passes under a wooden bridge, and behind them is an actual lagoon with lily pads.
Drawing families and low-key couples, the cross-shaped pool at the Ritz-Carlton is large enough to swim a proper lap - a fairly rare thing in South Beach. Plus, it comes with an excellent view of the ocean.
One of South Beach's most infamous party hotels, the Shore Club packs the pool with 20-somethings pounding beers at Rumbar. DJs spin insider tunes from up-and-coming musicians like French MC Yelle and Robyn (Sweden's answer to Gwen Stefani).
The Raleigh's free-form saltwater pool is where Esther Williams cavorted in The Million Dollar Mermaid and models strutted in 2008 for the annual Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week swimsuit extravaganza.
Located off the beach, the Mondrian comes with a beautiful, bow-shaped infinity pool overlooking Biscayne Bay. Guests can step into one of the fantastic outdoor living rooms for some shade or pay a fee for a large, souped-up cabana.
Spanning 205 feet, the National's infinity pool rivals some of its considerably more expensive neighbors. Guests happily laze in inner tubes and drift beneath a shady umbrella and palm trees.
An enormous lagoon-shaped pool, surrounded by smaller dipping pools and Jacuzzis, beckons from the lobby. Many families are drawn to the sunbeds, but guests can splurge on the posh VIP cabanas, which sport 32-inch flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi.
Actor Johnny Weissmuller, better known as Tarzan, used to be a swimming instructor at this 22,000-square-foot pool, the largest in the continental US. Today, the hotel hosts synchronized swimmers doing vintage routines.
Located on the 16th-floor terrace on a Downtown tower, the Epic's 3 pools receive a steady stream of sunlight late into the evening. Guests can look over the edge to watch manatees swimming in Biscayne Bay.
The setting of many fashion shoots - and lots of people watching even on an average day - the Gansevoort South has the largest rooftop lounge in the country, with spectacular views of the ocean. There's a larger, calmer, more kid-friendly pool below.
