Pets stay free of charge at Detroit's new boutique property Shinola Hotel. Guests can also take advantage of the local Canine to Five Daycare and drop off their pet for the day while they explore the city. In addition, Shinola Hotel offers a dog-walking service and special amenities like beds, bowls and treats for each pet during their stay.
Generator Miami
Located in the heart of Miami Beach on trendy Collins Avenue, the budget-minded Generator Miami features pet amenities like dog bowls, treats and a comfy mat for your pet to chill on. The hotel welcomes all dogs under 20 pounds for a one-time cleaning fee of $50.
Virgin Hotels, Chicago
Two pets of any size are welcome at Virgin Hotels Chicago for no additional fee. The upscale hotel is an easy 10-minute walk from Millennium Park, so you and your pet can see Anish Kapoor's world-famous "Bean" sculpture and stroll along the Magnificent Mile.
Kimpton Mason & Rook Hotel, Washington, D.C.
Mason & Rook features a seasonal patio for pet-friendly dining and a nightly complimentary wine reception that welcomes your doggie pal. Loaded with pet amenities, the hotel also charges no additional fee for dogs no matter the breed, weight or size. As if that pet-friendly stance weren't enough, the hotel and restaurant often work with local animal welfare charities for special events.
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park
Pampering both its human and furry guests, the Ritz Carlton New York offers a cozy in-room bed for pets, special "Luscious Liver" treats, an in-room dog bowl, "pet in-room" sign for your door and even a branded clean-up bag holder and bags. Dog walking services are also available to book.
The Brice Hotel in Savannah, Georgia
Pets receive a biscuit upon check-in and are welcome at the Kimpton Brice Hotel's nightly happy hour at this ultra-stylish Savannah hotel. In addition, there are lots of lovely walking paths close to the hotel for strolls with your pet.
Las Ventanas al Paraiso, Cabo San Lucas
Las Ventanas al Paraiso, a Rosewood Resort, in Cabo San Lucas caters to your jet-lagged furry friends, with stress-reducing massages and walks on the beach by the resort staff. Designed especially for the resort, portable pet cabanas are available so your pup can lounge in shady comfort at the beach or pool. Hotel Monaco, Portland
Ever wonder what is really going on in your pet’s head? Wonder no more when you stay at Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco in Portland, Oregon. Once a month during peak and holiday travel seasons, pet psychic Deborah Romero is available during the complimentary wine hour in the lobby, "to offer guests free insight to the thoughts, feelings and stresses of their pet’s life." Romero also offers reiki treatments for dogs, which can be booked as a follow-up session, or reservations can be made for private readings via the hotel’s concierge (not covered by the hotel).
Proper Hotels in Santa Monica, Austin and Downtown Los Angeles
The stylish interior of this Proper Hotel bedroom comes courtesy of designer Kelly Wearstler. The pet-friendly hotels in Santa Monica, Austin, Los Angeles and the original San Francisco location also feature some pet-friendly perks like the ability to check in with two dogs under 35 pounds and only pay a one-time $100 cleaning fee. Ten percent of that fee is donated to local pet charities.

Atlanta's Kimpton Overland Hotel
The Kimpton Overland Hotel in Atlanta is close to both Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and a short drive to downtown Atlanta and is next door to the Porsche Experience Center, meaning there is lots of car-themed decor inside this stylish hotel. The Kimpton Overland definitely rolls out the red carpet when pets arrive. Pets are welcomed by name and receive a dog treat upon arrival. The in-house Apron restaurant boasts a dog-friendly patio and special doggie "ice cream." Dogs receive plush pet-bed loaners in-room, food and water bowls, mats and a concierge list of nearby pet-friendly restaurants, parks, groomers and pet boutiques. In addition, door hangers alert staff and hotel guests that your cat or dog is in the room and courtesy bags are provided for dog-walking. There is no size or weight limit for pets (and no limit on the number of pets) and no additional charge for pets with no deposit required.
