The Office
Was there ever an office romance sweeter than Pam and Jim? Fans had to wait six seasons before the couple tied the knot in Niagara Falls.
The Office
Overwhelmed by so much...enthusiasm...from their coworkers, Pam and Jim stole away before their wedding ceremony to have a moment to themselves and exchange vows in peace. If you’re the type of couple who doesn’t like the spotlight, hop aboard the Maid of the Mist and do the same.
Dirty Dancing
The moves. The soundtrack. The lift. Dirty Dancing is easily one of the most iconic movies from the 80s and even if you can’t dance like Baby and Johnny you can step into their shoes at Kellerman’s Mountain House.
Dirty Dancing
Though the film was supposed to take place in New York’s Catskill Mountains, Kellerman’s was actually shot at the Mountain Lake Lodge in Pembroke, Virginia. The resort has Dirty Dancing-themed weekends throughout the year with film tours, parties and, of course, dance lessons.
Gossip Girl
"Three words. Eight letters. Say it, and I’m yours." Upper East Side royalty Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf were a match made in scheming heaven.
Gossip Girl
Chuck and Blair’s speedy wedding took place in Central Park at Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. You could run down all those stairs, too, but if you’re not about to be arrested, take your time and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Modern Family
After a series of infuriating and hilarious wedding snafus, Mitch and Cam finally tied the knot in a beautiful, emotional outdoor ceremony at Jay’s golf club.
Modern Family
Mitch and Cam’s wedding had a jaw-dropping oceanfront view from the cliffs of Palos Verdes, California. You can recreate the coastal look at one of the many outdoor wedding venues at Terranea Resort in nearby Rancho Palos Verdes.
Downton Abbey
Downton Abbey had a habit of killing off beloved characters, but no death was as bad as Cousin Matthew’s. The Christmas proposal was TV romance magic, and then it was all taken away by some ice on the road!
Downton Abbey
You can visit the real Downton Abbey in Hampshire, England. The actual estate used for filming, Highclere Castle, is home to the Earl of Carnarvon. The family opens the home for public visits throughout the year and you can even book weddings at the home and around the grounds.
Save the Last Dance
Save the Last Dance isn’t just a meet cute. The movie has so much more substance with incredible lessons about following your dreams, following love and never giving up.
Save the Last Dance
Even if you’re not into ballet, you can still have a date night at the Chicago Theatre like Derek and Sara. See a show with your loved one, and if it’s not too cold after the show, take a romantic stroll along the Chicago River.
Twilight
Oh, Edward Cullen. He's the smoldering, golden-eyed, more-than-100-year-old teenager who reignited the vampire pop culture craze. There are so many swoon-worthy moments in Stephenie Meyer’s bestsellers but the honeymoon may be the most romantic.
Twilight
In Twilight Breaking Dawn, Edward and Bella honeymoon in Isle Esme, a fictional island off the coast of Brazil. While that tropical oasis doesn’t exist, the film crew found Paraty, Brazil to be just as magical and used several locations to shoot including the vacation home where Edward and Bella stay. You can stay at Casa em Paraty and have the same view as actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. It will only set you back a whopping $15,000 a night!
The Notebook
Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling’s on- and off-screen chemistry brought this Nicholas Sparks story to life and it wouldn’t have been the same with different actors. Who can forget that kiss at the MTV Movie Awards?
The Notebook
"If you’re a bird, I’m a bird." While the story takes place around Charleston, South Carolina, the beach scene was filmed at El Matador State Beach in Malibu. The public beach was also used for the iconic, opening scene in Grease.
Made of Honor
Sure the plot is cliche, but there’s so much to love about this flick. First, Patrick Dempsey. Second, Scotland. Third, Patrick Dempsey.
Made of Honor
The gorgeous estate that the wedding party heads to in Scotland was shot at both Eilean Donan Castle and Dunvegan Castle. Scotland has tons of gorgeous, historic castles and ruins to explore. If you’re inspired by the scenery of Made of Honor, renting a car and road tripping is the best way to explore the sights.
Boy Meets World
I’ve always loved the dynamic of Corey and Topanga. Played by actress Danielle Fishel, Topanga is the type of character who knows what she wants, and I loved that she proposed to Corey on her own terms.
Boy Meets World
In the show, Corey and Topanga get married at the beautiful Philadelphia Victorian Hotel. While the hotel was fictional, you can find similar glitz and glamour at The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia. Just don’t let your brother "gift" you a honeymoon suite.
The Wedding Date
"You’re worth every penny." Nick Mercer is a great rom-com character because he’s not the bad boy. He’s suave, a gentleman and always knows the right thing to say to overly-anxious Kat.
The Wedding Date
If you loved the English setting for Amy’s wedding, head to Southampton to visit the Edwardian manor Kat and Nick stayed at. Chilworth Manor, owned and operated by Best Western, features 12 acres of beautiful, landscaped grounds.
Sex and the City
Always slightly out of reach, and let’s face it, a total jerk, the mysterious Mr. Big finally won Carrie over in the Sex and the City series finale. However on and off they may be, John and Carrie are crazy about each other.
Sex and the City
While grand and chic, the New York Public Library wedding did not end well for the couple. For a Sex and the City-inspired wedding, keep it simple and centered on love for each other with a courthouse wedding. Though Carrie is a Manhattan girl through and through, the location used for filming was the Kings County Supreme Court in Brooklyn.
Pretty Little Liars
PLL fans are some of the most passionate and opinionated fans on social media, especially when it concerns the show’s four main leads and their love interests. Fans who ship "Emison" finally got their wish in the series finale when Alison proposed to Emily in their home. "I had this whole romantic proposal planned and it didn’t include a pug sweatshirt but I guess I’ll just wing it." If you want a low-key proposal like Emison, rent a cozy home for a staycation in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, the town that was said to inspire Rosewood.
