Meet the experts behind Travel's Best All-Inclusive Resorts 2015. Get to know the world travelers — including Anthony Melchiorri, hotel fixer on Hotel Impossible, and Kelsey Blodget, managing editor for Oyster.com — who came up with our list of some of the most luxurious resorts to unplug, relax and rejuvenate.
Anthony Melchiorri
Anthony Melchiorri brings his expertise as the “hotel fixer” to Travel Channel’s TV series Hotel Impossible. In this weekly, 1-hour program, Anthony helps turn around the business of a hotel that’s struggling to survive. With more than 20 years in the hospitality business, he has developed and repositioned some of the finest and most high-profile properties in the US, including the first Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando, FL, and the landmark Algonquin Hotel in NYC.

Anthony got his start in the industry as the director of front-office operations for the Plaza Hotel in New York. At age 29, he also developed the Lucerne Hotel into one of the city’s top-ranking accommodations. Seven years later, he and his team repositioned the Algonquin as a highly rated Michelin Guide hotel. Its owner went on to sell the property for a significant return on investment and asked Anthony to be senior vice president of the first Nickelodeon Suites Resort.

Today, Anthony runs his own company, Argeo Hospitality, consulting on hotel projects for private owners and investors. He currently resides in New York with his wife and 3 children.
