Professor Sebastian Flores Farfan, director of the Xochimilco Historical Archives, was a dear friend of Don Julian, who was found dead on the Island of the Dolls. Professor Farfan stands in front of trajineras, or Mexican gondolas.

The story behind the Island of the Dolls (Isla de las Munecas) is tragic. Don Julian Santana supposedly found a little girl who had drowned on the island, and next to her was a doll (perhaps the girl’s doll, but nobody knows). After some time, Don Julian reportedly became possessed by the dolls and continued to place more and more throughout the island. After several years, Don Julian was found dead in the same spot he reportedly found the girl.

After years of sun exposure, many of the dolls have lost color and started to deform under the hot Mexico sun.

Zak Bagans with "one of the most haunted dolls in the world," Harold, at the Teatro del Pueblo cultural center in Mexico City. Purchased for a young boy who died several years later, Harold the doll was said to make crying and laughing sounds. Its owner told a priest, who instructed the owner to burn the doll. The doll would not burn.

Zak Bagans and Aaron Goodwin visit a local psychic medium to ask her whether or not it’s a good idea to continue investigating the background of Harold the doll.
